I just went to the IK site and noticed that Ampitube 4 has 10 stomp FX. Amplitube has official amps, effects and cabs that have been developed with and approved by the manufacturer and sounds wicked. Bias FX2 pro is on sale for around £70, and amplitube 5 max (the best version of amplitube) is on sale for £85. I like the effects in Amplitube more than the amps (which all seem to have WAY TOO MUCH REVERB on the Reverb knob - you can't go past ONE on the dial or you are awash with rev) altough the FX always seem to start LOUD with more gain then they should. Only think thats possibly lacking is some kind of transparent Timmy type overdrive and some ambient/spacey reverbs. Build your own single amps and pan yourself in sequencer, imo. ![]() To me its like THU is the Helix with the new 3.1 firmware, and everything else is on the old. I tried to recreate various tones of my youth in Bias Amp 2 and import them to FX, I got close. I never liked the presets with Amplitube - the guitars always sounded phase-y somehow with the dual amp setups. But THU amps have dynamics ( to my fingers and ears-subjective, opinion) that Bias, Jamup, and Amplitube dont. Is this because of the 100 for 1 deal at IK Multimedia?.
